Black Anime Characters Telling Black American Stories
The stories of African Americans have been told through various mediums. This includes film, books, comics, and music (just to name a few). No ethnic group in modern history has inspired artists more than African Americans. From the gospel, jazz, and blues music of the Harlem Renaissance to modern-day hip-hop and r&b, the artistic influence of Black Americans has reached across the globe. What makes us such great story tellers and artists, you ask? Over 400 years of pain, struggle, oppression, and a relentless fighting spirit to overcome systemic racism.
Black Streak Entertainment is taking the African American experience and merging it with the Japanese art style we love and cherish – anime! In our world, Black anime characters run the show, and Black stories are told through black manga and comics. We are offering a new perspective of the Black superhero and Black comedy through our premiere comic series: The Legend of Tsakanin and Dusty Dirty Days.
